
PETROLEUM AUTHORITY OF UGANDA CONDUCTS NATIONAL CONTENT MONITORING VISIT AT UPIK
The Petroleum Authority of Uganda (PAU) today conducted a supervisory national content field monitoring visit at the Uganda Petroleum Institute Kigumba (UPIK) as part of its quarterly national exercise across oil and gas operational areas.
The visit forms part of PAU’s ongoing efforts to assess compliance with national content requirements among licensed operators, contractors, and key stakeholders in Uganda’s petroleum sector.
During the engagement, discussions focused on Strengthening national content implementation, enhancing institutional readiness for oil and gas operations, supporting local capacity development and skills training Collaboration between academia and industry.
After the meeting and discussions, the PAU team toured the Institute’s training rig to observe the progress of its construction, an important facility aimed at enhancing practical training for students.
UPIK, as a key training institution in Uganda’s oil and gas sector, reaffirmed its commitment to producing competent professionals and supporting national content objectives.
The Institute appreciates PAU for the continued collaboration and guidance in ensuring Uganda maximizes value from its petroleum resources.
