To deliver the Internationally Accredited Curricula, the Institute with support from the Government fo Uganda has build capacity through recruiting competent teaching staff. Staff member continuously engage in Professional Development from time to time. The number of teaching staff has grown to 23 permanent Lecturers, 3 Lecturers on Contract, 5 permanet Workshop Technicians and 2 Technicians on Contract. All Academic Staff have City & Guilds and ECITB accreditations. Majority are NEBOSH Certified. Some staff members have several other qualifications including AWS and OPITO.

The Institute has numerous non-academic functions including Finance & Accounts, Procurement, Estates, Records Management, ICT services, Medical, Welfare Human Resource & Administration. These functions are managed by a team of highly skilled officers at various levels.
